One month old!

Our little guy is one month old! He is growing and getting bigger each day. He still loves his food and he can down 4 ounces at a feeding with no problem. He is still a good sleeper and will only wakes up 1-2 times a night. We can't wait for him to start interacting more with us. We love having this little guy in our house!

Our Growing Boy

Today was Brantley's two week appointment. He is a growing boy and his love for food is showing! Brantley now weighs 9 lbs 6 oz and is 20.5 inches long. He is a growing boy and loves to eat! Dr. Firth was impressed with his weight gain and said that Brantley is healthy baby. I am noticing he is starting to be awake a little more during the day, which is nice because it gives me something to do with my time! We certainly love having this little guy in our home and watching him grow and learn new things every day!

Bath Time!

We are enjoying having this little guy in our home. Every day is a new adventure....as is every night! He certainly loves to eat. It seems like I can't keep him full! My mom came up and stayed with us for the first few days home from the hospital. I am so thankful she was here and willing to take care up Brantley at night so Jared and I could catch up on sleep.
Once we got settled in at home we gave Brantley his first bath. He didn't seem to mind it too much. Since his first bath he has decided he really enjoys bath time :) We certainly love this little guy!

Thank goodness for the hand!

Some more pictures of our little Brantley

Well, I thought I'd go ahead and post some more pictures. Both mother and baby are doing great, so, without further ado, here are some more pictures.

Brantley Logan Fulgham

Well, it's been a heck of a day, but in the end, it was worth it. At 3:48 pm, our 8 lb. 4 oz., 20 inch little boy arrived. We are naming him Brantley Logan. The name Brantley comes from my (Jared's) 5th great-grandfather, Edmund Brantley Fulgham. The middle-name Logan of course comes from my brother Logan, who we lost in a car accident last September. Just so you know, baby boy and mother are doing great.

Now, here is what you are all looking forward to, some pictures.

It's been an exciting day, but now I'm ready to crash. Peace out!

In the Hospital

Well this is my (Jared's) first post here on our blog. I figured I'd start a post while I am up late waiting. Here's what's been happening.

Brantley was due on Jan. 20th, but being stubborn (that's the Fulgham in him, and probably the little bit of Osburn he's got) he is now 10 days late. We had a time set up for induction this morning, Monday, Jan. 30th, but of course, the threat of being forced out made our little guy decide to try to come out on his own. Yesterday, Sunday, Jan. 29th, Suzanne started contracting and by 8:45 p.m. we decided to come to the hospital. Suzanne was admitted right around 9 p.m.

Not much had changed since Suzanne's doctors appointment on Wednesday, though she was contracting about 4-5 minutes apart. We waited to hear from the doctor. At about 11 p.m. they started Suzanne on Pitocin. It has helped level the contractions out at about 2.5 minutes apart. The anesthesiologist came by at 3 a.m. and inserted the epidural, and now, because of the epidural, Suzanne is getting a little needed rest. The doctor will most likely have to come by and break her water in a little bit, but we aren't positive when this will happen.

Anyway, I hope this hasn't been too revealing, but I thought that in light of the circumstances, I'd post an update of what's happening. I apologize for the poor writing and any errors that may be present, it is 3:53 after all. I will post an update with pictures a little later.

Cheers,

Jared
